‘WHY LIBERTY’ AND ‘FOUNDATIONS OF A FREE SOCIETY’ TRANSLATED INTO ARMENIAN
Why Liberty: Your Life, Your Choices, Your Future and Foundations for a Free Society has been translated into more than a dozen languages, including a recent translation into Armenian.
LIBERTY Seminar
Armenian Liberty Students Organization invites Armenian free-thinking intellectuals to join us for the next session of reading and discussion of topics having great importance for Armenian civil society and economy development, such as: Foundation of a Free Society, Growing a free society, Property rights in action, The enterprise and trade and many more.
Will be a reading and brainstorm session of student thoughts, challenges, and questions about the reading materials.
Tea, coffee, juices, fruits and vegetables will be provided for ensuring great intellectual discussions!!!

1st event: “We had a great discussion. Listening to opinions from different people with different background was very interesting, because as we know people learn a lot from each other. This discussion has its impact on my outlook ”.
2nd event: “The reading – discussing evening on “Property and Justice” was very interesting for me and as during the last meeting was very interesting and healthy discussions with different opinions. I think that it is necessary to continue to organize such reading-debate evenings even after summer and hold regularly weekly discussion. “It should be noted that the topics discussed within the theme of “Property and Justice” are very relevant and interesting and at the same time problematic for the Armenian youth, as well as for governments and some international organizations.
The study of these topics from liberal point of view has given me new knowledge on philosophy of liberty and I think now being more aware on problems in this field I will treat these issues with the new and liberal perspectives and with new views.

“The reading-discussion evenings on ideas of liberty gather progressive youth, bringing together bright and interesting people, give opportunity to get to know our fellow students with whom we can share our knowledge and learn from their experience.
I’ll necessarily participate in all discussions, because I always get valuable information on the subject and, what helps me to be more interested in ideas of liberty and to deepen my knowledge in this field.”
She recently graduated from the Yerevan State University and has experience in leadership camps organization. Her certificated gained concern to the recognition of the important role played in promoting cross-cultural understanding, FLEX-ability cross-cultural conference for youth from Caucasus area and etc.

Haykanush Nersisyan
Haykanush Nersisyan graduated from Armenian State University of Economics. Over 2 years she is involved in volunteer activities, is a member of The Armenian National Students' Association (ANSA), as well as member of the "Zargatsum" Social Movement.
According to her: “the event extended my understanding in liberty, increased my motivation to struggle and make changes”.

Meline Avagyan is a fourth-year undergraduate students at Yerevan State University. According Meline: “I liked the discussion a lot, because it made me think deeper about the ideas of liberty”.
Gayane Mkhitaryan has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is co founder of “Psychology Club” at University. She has volunteer in World Vision NGO. Gayane mentioned that: “The topic is, by all means, connected with each of us as we all are members of the society”.
Anatoli Chernyaev is a marketing student at French University in Armenia Foundation who is keen to gain experience in both educational and practical fields. Currently working as an editor for one of the biggest Eurovision websites online. Responsible for finding and writing news not only from Armenia, but from the Caucasus and Russian-speaking world in English. Currently working as a volunteer at the “PINK” Armenia NGO, department of Human Rights and Civil Society. He is interested in human rights education and leadership. He says that: “The discussion topics were interesting and engaging. I liked the idea of a free space of discussion where we could touch many topics and could not limit our own perception”.
Edgar Andreasyan is a student at American University in Armenia and at the same time serves as a volunteer there. He is also member of European Youth Parliament and AIESEC. Edgar wrote: “Discussion gave me lots of other points to start thinking on. I have listened different opinions, which were very helpful ”.
